The Tickle Turdle™ Knit
Baby Sling Review
By Tricia Ballad
Description
The Tickle
Turdle Knit Baby Sling is one of the simplest babywearing tools around.
It’s a simple knit tube that is worn across the body like a sash.
There are several positions to wear your baby, depending on his size
and your preferences. "Finally
a sling as comfortable as your favorite sweater!"
Advantages
Easy to Use: The
Tickle Turdle is great for first-time parents, or
those who haven’t used a sling before. There are no complicated
straps or rings to adjust, you just put it over your shoulder
and tuck the baby inside.
Versatile: Young babies feel very secure cradled
in the Tickle Turdle because it’s knit stretches to fit.
Toddlers can shift from sitting up in a hip carry to lying over
a shoulder or even into a cradle hold without getting out of
the sling.
Nursing Support: The sling gives added support
for older babies and toddlers during nursing, saving Mama’s
arms and back. It’s much easier to tuck the sling into
the diaper bag than a big nursing pillow.
Soothing: Many babies find the snug knit soothing,
like being swaddled in a favorite blanket.
Easy to Care For: Just toss it in the wash on
the delicate cycle and tumble dry on low. If it starts getting
stretched out of shape, a trip through the wash will return it
to its original size.
Disadvantages
Single Sizing: The sling is sized for the adult
who will wear it, so each parent needs their own sling.
